The eighteenth China International Petroleum and petrochemical technology and Equipment Exhibition (cippe2018) opened in Beijing. The exhibition covers an area of 90,000 square meters and attracts nearly 1,800 enterprises from 65 countries and regions, including 46 top 500 enterprises and 18 international exhibition delegations.

Among them, the "liquid nitrogen foam cement slurry cementing automation equipment" developed by Sinopec Research Institute of Petroleum Engineering was awarded the only "cippe exhibits innovation gold medal" and became the highlight of the exhibition.
The "Cippe Gold Award for Innovation in Exhibits" is the highest award in the China International Petrochemical Technology and Equipment Exhibition. It has the reputation of "Oscar" for petroleum and petrochemical equipment. The judges are composed of academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, senior experts of energy enterprises and presidents of petroleum universities. With its unique technological innovation and outstanding field application performance in the field of low density cement slurry cementing, the "Automatic Cementing Equipment for Liquid Nitrogen Foam Cement Slurry" has emerged from 1800 exhibitors and nearly 10,000 products from 65 countries and regions worldwide.
"Automatic Cementing Equipment for Liquid Nitrogen Foam Cement Slurry" is a large-scale cementing equipment independently developed by the Institute of Petroleum Engineering and Technology of Sinopec. It realizes the integration, miniaturization and automation of foam cement slurry cementing equipment by using advanced ultra-low temperature liquid nitrogen evaporation automatic control technology and unique high pressure gas injection multi-stage mixing technology.  The density of surface foam cement slurry is the lowest 0.35 g/cubic centimeter. Its advanced integrated automatic control system with density control error (+0.03 g/cubic centimeter) can meet the extensive demand of low pressure leaky well and shale gas well cementing in China. The product related technology has applied for 14 patents, authorized 5 items, and applied for two software copyright.
It is reported that since 2016, foam cement slurry cementing has been used in 32 wells in Sinopec shale gas, northern Hubei, Eastern Old Oil Area and Sinopec Sulige Block. The application depth of the wells is 6000 meters, and the lowest application density is 1.15g/cubic centimeter. This has created the lowest cement slurry density record for engineering application in Sinopec. The successful development of automatic cementing equipment for liquid nitrogen foam cement slurry has reduced operation cost and complexity, and promoted the development of ultra-low density foam cement slurry cementing technology in petroleum engineering.
At the exhibition site, Zeng Yijin, vice president of SINOPEC Petroleum Engineering Research Institute, said that the award was an encouragement and recognition for the scientific and technological innovation of SINOPEC's petroleum engineering. They will take this as a new starting point, carry forward the scientific and rigorous, realistic and pragmatic spirit of research, persevere in tackling key problems, and work hard for China's petroleum engineering technology and technology. The Geological Logging Company of Sinopec Shengli Petroleum Engineering Co., Ltd. has also prepared a series of "Explorer" brand logging equipment with independent intellectual property rights, including Sino WSL comprehensive logging instrument, Sino CLS CBM logging instrument, and more than 10 other products for exhibition. As the logging equipment manufacturing and testing center of Sinopec, they have a number of core technologies, such as well site safety protection, hydrocarbon gas rapid quantitative detection, multi-mode data acquisition, mud logging software development, sensor research and development.  Its strong mud logging equipment strength attracted many visitors to stop and understand.
Shengli Oilfield specializes in 27 oil field skills masters such as oil production, gathering and transportation, and so on. They took part in the exhibition with the subject of technological innovation, discussed and exchanged with professionals, and were interested in the application of advanced equipment and instruments under the "Four Modes" of the oilfield. Zhang Chunrong, a master of gathering and transportation skills from Xianhe Oil Production Plant in Shengli Oilfield, said: "The most important thing to know is the technology of reducing oil and sediment in the oil field, the equipment and pipelines in the treatment of produced fluid to suppress scale or prevent corrosion."
